Our Core Beliefs

  • Jesus Is Our Source of Life: We believe that true life and fulfillment are found in Jesus Christ. His death and resurrection offer not just salvation, but a relationship with God that transforms every part of life.
    • The Bible Is Our Foundation: Our teachings are rooted entirely in the Bible, which is God’s inspired Word (2 Timothy 3:16). The Bible doesn’t just guide us in theology, but also in how to live through everyday challenges with faith and wisdom.
    • Prayer Focuses on Transformation: At Jireh, we don’t just pray for circumstances to change; we pray for God to transform us through our circumstances. Yet, we fully believe that God has the power to heal, deliver, and change the impossible when it aligns with His will.
    • We Believe in God's Sovereignty Over All Things: God’s purpose isn’t always to remove pain, but to use it for a greater purpose. Even in hardship, we trust that God is present, working all things for good (Romans 8:28). Yet, as scholar C.S. Lewis reminds us in his work The Problem of Pain, "Pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world."

Jireh is a Hebrew word meaning "The Lord Will Provide" (Genesis 22:14)

and we trust that whether through changing your heart or changing your situation, God will meet your deepest needs.
We stand by the principle of Philippians 4:12-13, where Paul states, "I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation... I can do all this through Him who gives me strength." This is the heart of Jireh – contentment and trust in Christ’s sufficiency.

Our mission is simple: to lead people into a deeper, life-changing relationship with Jesus. We don’t offer quick fixes or prosperity promises, but we do offer the unchanging hope of Christ, rooted in the belief that God is present in every situation.
